Hello All! We've loved reading the stories thus far, and are excited to hear more! There's just ONE WEEK left to enter our contest to win our destination photography giveaway! Deadline is FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 29, 2008. Eric and I will be traveling to one lucky couple's destination to capture the story of their wedding day in photographs, for FREE!* For more details, contact us through our website or call 502-417-1357.
Due to the amount of inquiries we have for summer/fall weddings, we strongly recommend that you go ahead and secure your date with us. Then, should you be the lucky couple, the booking fees will be applied to travel cost. We can only give away photography to someone who's date isn't already booked :)

Baby Serena!
Eric and I made the trip to Knoxville, Tennessee, yesterday afternoon to meet our new neice, Serena Chebet Curtis. We met up with Eric's dad and headed over to the hospital to see Joe and Sylvia, the proud new parents. Time flew by as we were waiting with them, but once we got sent to the waiting room for baby Serena to be born, it seemed to stop! She is worth the wait, though... she's adorable! And lucky to have such amazing parents! She was born at 1:56 a.m on Monday, February 18, 2008, at 7 lbs. 1 oz, and 18 inches long. Here's just a few of my favorites to share right now...
Congrats Joe and Sylvia, and welcome Serena!

Flourish Workshop | Bridals
So, I may be the last Flourish attendee to post anything, but oh well... Better late than never, right?
A few weeks ago, I attended the FABULOUS Flourish Workshop here in Louisville at the wonderful Angela Anderson's studio. I can honestly say it was the best investment of time, energy, and money that I have ever put into my business. I learned so much, and made several wonderful new friends! Angela, Kim, and Kitty were amazing to watch and learn from.
One thing I never thought I'd say... I want a studio! I LOVE to shoot on location, and I LOVE natural light. I never liked studio photography... it seemed so boring to me! But, after a day of shooting these fabulous models in Angela's studio, and seeing the amazing photo possibilities that having a studio offers, I want one! Maybe one day...
During the Bridal Session, we had the opportunity to photograph three beautiful models wearing incredible dresses provided by Bluegrass Bride. Our make-up artist for the day, Ana Crane-Simpson, did a fantastic job. Here are a few of my favorites from this session. Enjoy!
First, the stunning Leah in an equally amazing Ramona Keveza dress...

Next, our "romantic bride" Erica, in a gorgeous Paloma Blanca gown.

And last, but certainly not least, our "modern bride" Sarah, in a fantastic Amsale dress.

Thanks to Leah, Erica, and Sarah for being such amazing models!
More from our other fabulous sessions to come soon. Thanks for looking!

Beth and Ian's Wedding
Beth and Ian had a beautiful wedding in Madisonville, Kentucky, at the beginning of December. We ran out of daylight before we really even got started, but were able to get some great shots of Beth and the girls with a gorgeous sunset. And, after the ceremony, we photographed the couple outside next to some columns wrapped in Christmas lights--an awesome idea of Beth's! It was challenging (shooting in the dark), but the images turned out great! I really should learn to love being pushed out of my comfort zone, because the photos we get are always so unique. Enjoy a few of my favorites from the evening!
Congrats to Beth and Ian!
